Collection: Taste

Taste or gustation is the ability to interpret information regarding taste in the mouth. It uses the tongue, more specifically the taste buds on the tongue, to receive taste sensations, and detects the chemical makeup through the tongue to determine if the sensation is safe or harmful. Taste also allows us to enjoy our favorite foods, and working together with our sense of smell, can help us identify individual flavors like spicy, salty, sweet, or umami.
